Default Head Unit - CD/ Cassette

Has anyone experienced their CD sticking in the head unit...my 1993 40AE has both cassette and CD...The CD does not play...The hissing I imagine has to do with the amplifier boards....Any dependable Bose supplier outside of Ecklers?...Any experience replacing them?...Any advice would help!

This is a pretty good article on removing a cd from a cd player:
http://www.carspace.com/guides/How-to-Remove-a-Stuck-CD

And another on replacing the head unit on the Bose if you need to:
http://www.corvettefever.com/howto/19142/index.html

And yes, the hissing noise is probably due to a blown (or on its way out) amp. They are easy to replace (new $120 each, used $75 each) or have rebuilt ($75 each)

Hope this helps,
Mike
