Hey whats up everybody. I got an 88 auto trans. and when I step on the gas hard i get a big hesitation when it shifts from first to second gear. When the car should shift at normal time the engine keeps revving and accelerating more but at that point it should already be in 2nd gear. Any ideas??

 

Sounds like the clutches in the trans are going south on you or either the filter is getting stopped up. Try getting your transmission serviced 1st.
