Default ignition rod came loose help

It is a 91 C4 and the rod that goes from the key tumbler to the ignition switch on the bottom of the column came loose. I have taken the steering column apart as far as I want to right now and can not see how the rod connects on the top side. It is apart to were I can see the plunger that the lock set rotates. Any where to get a parts break down or anyone who has done this before? Am somewhat mechanical but never messed with steering column stuff before so am a little scared to get to far in without some pictures or guidance.
Thanks

If you have a Chevy dealer in town, go ask the service advisor or a mechanic if they would photocopy the applicable pages from the 91 Corvette Service Manual. Or maybe they could direct you to a website. )I'm looking at having to replace the dimmer switch in the steering column myself. Looking forward to that like an IRS audit.)

dimmer isn't to bad, had to remove it to get to the ignition switch but my son had the best idea so far -- remove the steering column and do it on the bench. My Chilton's has steps for that and it looks fairly straight forward so am going to try it that way. Thanks for the advice
