Default just want to say thanx

was in here earlier today after ripping out my hair for 2 weeks bought my first and what seemed like my last vette 2 weeks ago was idiling rough as hell played w/ the timing over heated the car cracked the rad @ the cap so today i came here for help read alot of the posts and went to work replaced the tps o2 sensor iac knock sensor and the plugs,wires cap and rotor and the rad. now its up and running great but here is the best part of all it was running hot b4 the crack in the rad. so i got a new 1 while replacing this the lady i got it from had alot of dogs so as its coming out im pulling about 8 #s of leaves and what not out then out comes the rad. on the front side was about i kid you not 4# of dog hair matted to the front of the rad. thought id share that w/ ya and say thanx for this group w/out you i'd be on my 1st and last vette

Hey Bill:
Here's another trick I have used a few times to get the debris out of the radiator front. Gently use a dry scrub brush on the front of the rad and after get a small air blower attachment for an air compressor and blow it out from the back of the radiator. not only will you get the rest of the hair, leaves, bugs etc but you will also get out the little pieces of gravel and other road debris. It will make an immediate difference I bet about 15 to 30 degrees cooler. enjoy your ride.
