lights issue...
When do the clear lights come on, that are in the rear quarter panel?
Neither of mine light up, at any time, including when the front clear ones come on, as the turn signal is engaged.
I noticed this today, after pulling all the lenses off, across the rear end, to do house cleanin' [YUK].

RE: lights issue...
On my 85,there are4 backup lights, one on each side of the tag, and one on each rear quarter panel.
I will add too, that they only come on when the ignition is on.

When I first acquired my '78 I had the same question. they do come on when the ign. is on and you put it in reverse. Like you, I thought they were like the front ones and were supposed to come on with the blinkers until I went to change all the dang bulbs. We learn something every day huh?

Both of 'em bein' out at the same time ain't cool tho'. Maybe a separate line from the tranny back-up switch???
EDIT: today
Man, that is ugly under that quarter panel. Can ya' move that muffler there a couple of inches there buddy? I just got one question: Who designed this mess????[sm=badidea.gif]
I can barely get a flashlight beam up there. Never mind an arm. With a wrench and socket on the end.Right now, we're lookin' at pullin' the rear wheel (I got 4 non-retracting inches of antennae to work on too[:'(]), and then pullin' the wheel well liner.
Unless someone else can shed some light on this light bulb and antennae work (pun intended). Help???

Mystery wire...This guy didn't go anywhere (pic 1). He was just standing around (hangin')watchin' stuff like a campfire.
Is this bulb a three-wire connector? (pic 2)
What's that about havin' a wiring diagram?
Little help?

hold the onions and the mayonaise...
Code:
No, it's not a 3-wire connector. And it's not a 3-wire sandwich, either. But there's plenty of mustard wannabe inside of it.
The lonesome wire apparently does not go into that connector.

There's a nifty little wheel well liner add-on over on that side.
I just got one question: Who designed this stuff?
