tada!

If the motor stops, see if you have gas in the tank. If the lights don't work when the turn signal is on, check to see if they're on when the tranny is in reverse (especially if they're reverse lights).

Now, on to the antennae...

LOL...Are we having fun yet??Gladto seeyou have it figured out. You're experiencing some of those fringe benefits that come with owning a vette

I obviously have a little more room under there than you do, I can change the quarter panel bulbswithout having to remove the wheel and the wheel well panel. Although I do have to remove them to get to the tail, turn, and break light bulbs.

Hey Michelle,
I replaced my antenna, motor and mast, on my 86 and it was a real pain. Sounds like all you need is the mast but I think you have to remove the motor / mast unit to replace the mast. Then reinstall the total unit. I had to remove the rear wheel, loosen the inner fender (wheel well) and lay on the ground, then basicly feel my way around inside the rear fender to remove the unit. Not an easy job, be prepared, although it is worth it. I like for everything to work on my car and not fixing little things like this is a sign of negligence to me.
Good Luck,
KN

Hmmm... Yeah... Soooo ...did you figure that out all by yourself?

You must be a detective. Or a psychologist.

Maybe the next time I tell you they're backup lights, you'll listen huh?

On my 85,there are4 backup lights, one on each side of the tag, and one on each rear quarter panel.

I will add too, that they only come on when the ignition is on.

After seeing the work you had to go thru just to gain access you just reminded me to change the 4 tail light bulbs on my 89 when I put the new Corsa exhaust system on this weekend. Guess "ounce of prevention" saves alot of skin and blood when it comes to a Vette
