Default magnaflow on 85'

Magnaflow techs tell me there system will not fit an 85', although it will an 86' with the L98, I could have sworn I have read on this forum and others that people have installed Magnaflow on there 85's, any input or suggestions greatly appreciated, will a corsa system work?, I don't want flowmaster or dynomax...

You sure about that? Maybe not direct fit but you could have them custom fit for you at a exaust shop. I would go with borla though or billy boats. Nice tone and throaty sound.

well, I know this is not recommended, can you pass emisions using long tube headers and a catback system and no catalytic converters...or should I just go with one of the systems mentioned?..anyone have that type ofsetup?

Emissions is for losers. Long tube headers from hookman delete air pump catalytic converters all that stuff high performance mufflers in some 2.5 mandrel bent tubing and let the gas pedal go to the floor. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE[&:]

I don't consider myself a Corvette expert by any stretch, and I certainly bow to the wisdom of those on this Forum who really know, but I have been using Dynomax mufflers on my Vettes and other cars since they were put on the market. Never had to send one back for warranty, or otherwise. I like the deep throaty sound presently on my 87 Vette, and it's not just the colour combo of my Vette conv't (white over blue) that turns heads, it's the gorgeous sound of the Dynomax mufflers that help( certainly not that I need the attention), but I like the sound. You must have had a bad experience with Dynomax.

We've got Dynomax's on our car, too, and I love 'em.
