Default new 84 owner need help!

My name is ralph, I am from Playa del rey, Ca. I need help.

I recently bought a 84 Corvette, with 120,000 miles. i bought the car
from a individual who had kept it garaged for the 15 years he had owned
it. The inside and outside were excellent. Everything had been kept
stock. He told me only problems he knew about the car were 1- led dash
cluster needed to be replaced and 2-it would sometimes stall, however it
would always start up again for him. He had taken to garage to be fixed
but unable to diagnose unless problem occured while at garage. Before I
bought the car I drove it for about an hour, tried to get it to
stall, no luck! I then had it looked at by his local mechanic who seemed
knowledgeable. He said his opinion was the car had been sitting lately
and just either had bad gas or fuel filter. So I bought the car for
2500. Another reason I bought car was because i had also come across a
local corvette mechanic who was highly recommended and had 35 years with
vettes (especially cross-fires). I have always made it a habit to find a
specialist who could make the car affordable.

Drove the car home (80 miles), immediately took car to the mechanic, he put it on scope, discovered bad plug and wire and vacuum
hose leak. So replaced all and it ran great. Next day drove about 60
miles and started to stall. At signal, stall, then while running, would
restart and then finally no more restart, had to have towed to shop. No
sputter noticed, just died, no backfire, just stalled. Anyway at
shop had me turn engine over and discovered no fuel delivery, diagnosed
problem was fuel pump. Next day changed out filter and pump, started up
then died again. He kept searching for problem, then with a flashlight
discovered sugar in gas tank. Thought that was problem, cleaned tank,
lines, pump filter and finally injectors and still stalling! That was a
week ago. mechanic said there is a gremlin in
the car causing a fuel delivery failure. I don't like to micro-manage
subject matter experts, but he said he is stumped.

Thank you for reading this far, any ideas, please....I would just like to drive the car...

all the best and a happy thanksgiving, ralph flores jr.(ralphflores@ca.rr.com)

I had a prob with engine stalling and it turned out to be a wire broken inside the insulation.
The insulation would get warm, expand, and break the connection.
Found the prob using a continuity tester.
My prob was the wire from the ign. switch to the coil.
It may be a long shot, but ya might look into the wiring for your fuel delivery.
