Congradulations!!!! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]Everyone swears on getting a Helms Factory Service Manual. I only have a Haynes, and it works fine for me.

Ecklers, madvet.com, and corvette central are all great places to get to get interior parts....though i have heard lots of people having problems with ecklers lately.

Enjoy your new car. Dont forget to wave! [sm=gears.gif]

Welcome! I have the Helm FSM and I get all my parts from Corvette Central. Also there is Zip Products for vette parts and used ones are available from Vette2Vette.com. Raisin is correct - there has been problems with Ecklers lately, mostly out of stock on somethings seems to be the concern.

Welcome, and i also use the Haynes manual. Everyone tells me that i should get a Chiltons because they are more "step-by-step im gonna talk to you like you are a 4 year old" instructions. I dont mind the Haynes manual though. I have never had a problem with it. Ecklers is great even though they are out of stock a lot (they are also one of the largest suppliers of corvette parts) Also, Mid-America is pretty good. I have bought plenty of stuff from them. The site for them is www.madvet.com Again, welcome and good luck with your newly acquired love.

Hello: I found the GM factory manual on EBAY. There are several coming and going. It is a GMP/96-Y-P, a two volume set for my 96 LT1. I also love the Mitchell manuals that can be found on ebay, too. They blow the doors off Haynes, chiltons, etc.

Good, you found a factory manual. Most aftermarket manuals are very limited and usually get you into more trouble than get you out of it. I own an auto repair shop and we use Alldata on DVD, but that is not for the everyday guy as it is a couple of hundred bucks a month and I get updates every quarter. I have found that most of the time if Ecklers stocks it, check with your GM dealer, because it is usually the same price or cheaper of C4 stuff and up. They get most of their stuff through GM and resell it. Good Luck. [8D]

I have a Chiltons and it is O.K. I haven't used any other manuals so I can't say its best, worst, etc.
