Default New car and $4000 later

I bought a 1990 Coupe adn I am absolutely thrilled with the car. Like anything that is 20 years old she had a shopping list of small repairs that needed attention, and a few oil leaks that needed to be fixed. So I took her to one of the local Chevrolet dealers with my list and had everything done. AND I had to buy a new roof panel for her, which I got lucky and found for $550.. So with new headlight actuators, new power antenna, new mercury switches on the under hood lights, new third brake light, new valve cover and main intake Gaskets, new rear transmission seal, and new rear differential gasket. Transmission and rear differential serviced. I am finally cruising in style. And man does it feel good.......

Congrats on the new ride. Hopefully you had that $4000 budgeted into the price of the car when you bought it!

fortunatly I did. While I got an excellent deal on the car I also knew I was buying a 20 year old car. It had some very minor things, as well as some needed service work, a couple minor oil leaks, and it needed a new roof (the old one had a nasty crack.), But it is a solid car and Looks amazing for 20 years. with all the leaks plugged, the minor stuff repaired, and the new roof on, I now have a new car.....
