Default newbe needs help

Hi everyone, i know with all the knowledge that is reading this e-mail that someone can help. I have a 92 and when my automatic vet is in park and I reeve up the engine the ASR light will be activated and this will cause a small motor to run for about 2 seconds, also when i'm driving and almost at a complete stop the ASR will activate and this in return will activate my ABS. I just put new pads and new rotors on all the way around when spring got here and before this the car has been resting in the garage for the winter. Any help will be appreciated !

well, the ASR light is referring to Active Safety Restraint or "Airbags" ABS is referring to Antilock Brake System. Both problems are beyond my scope without a good scanner. I'd guess they are beyond your's unless you have a scanner to tell you what's going on. Also, you're brake job is not the cause of the ABS light. If you want me to explain the ABS system, email me at sandcobra164@yahoo.com. Otherwise, take the car to someone with a scanner and let us know what they come up with. That's the only way you'll find what you're looking for. Good Luck!!!

Common ABS problems are wheel speed sensors, but before you go invest in sensors, need to have it scanned for trouble codes. It might be another problem. ASR codes can be read with a good quality scanner that can check body control codes.
