Default Noobie With A 1996 CE Question..

Im the new guy, I have a 96 Collectors Edition as an everyday driver and a ZX12 sportbike with dual stage NOS to cure my speed fix.. Thus the ZX12richard name.

The question I have is about the tires change over the years from 1992 to 1996. I owned a 1992 convert and it had 275;s all the way round. Which leads to my question.

Can you put 275/40/17's on the front of the 1996 with no problems???? Does it require changes in suspension or alignment???

WHy did they make the change to the 255's???? Thanxxx In advance guys much appreciated..

Hello there...yes you can put 275's in the front of your car.I have a set of them on my '96...no alignment problems or anything.I even know of this one cat who has 315's all the way around his!!! But it is a factory size for them, starting with the 88's if I'm not mistaken....hope this helps.Your friend,Joe

Hey Joe,
Do you have that size on the rear also. Just wondering as I can get a decent price on a set of 275/40/17 for my car. Not sure if it would be that much of problem as the diameter difference is less than a 1/4 inch
Jim

Sure do,but I also have a set of the Grand Sport wheels, with the big 11 inch wheels in the rear. Those tires are 315's,and they fir just fine.Actually,it makes the car look better with that wider wheel. So you should not have any problems...good luck!! Joe

One of the guys has 335's on all 4 corners. Seems a little too much, but the pics didn't look bad. Doesn't really matter HOW it looks; it's your car.

I think it is user 'BrianCunningham' with the 335's...
