this morning i checked the voltages from my tps and later went and bought a code scanner, connect turned the key on and service light stayed on but no flashes, no codes, absolutely no changes at all, could this mean i need a new ecm. i don't see any loose wire or anything, also where would that computer brain be located if need be.

 

I beleive the ECM is under the hood above the battery. The scanner won't flash a code 12, then you are probably right.

 

checked above the battery, no ecm located there. 1985 vette, any help......

 

On an 85 it should be under the passenger side dash.

 

also is there any other ecm that'll fit like camaro or only the vette 1985 model, i have a friend that has a junk yard, if that is the case would the chip or something need reprogramming
