Default opti assembly question

I haven't yet pulled my water pump and opti off the car yet. I wanted to make sure i got the right parts first. I'm positive the water pump is right and pretty sure the opti and cap and rotor are right but I can't for the life of me figure out how to assemble it. Is there supposed to be a spacer between the dist and the cap? They don't seem to go together and looking at joes picture of hisit looks like there isa gap that he filled up with rtv?

What kind of opti did you buy? I have an MSD I can post some pictures of late tonight or tomorrow night.

I put RTV on mine too, and didn't take it apart. I couldn't even really tell where the seam was, so I just put a pretty heavy bead all the way around it.

Can you post pics of what you got there?

Lee, can you post a link to the CF "MERGED" thread for the pics there, maybe he can point out a pic there. I can't log on there for a link, since gettin' banned...
