Default oxidation on rims

ok guys here is a problem ........... I bought an 89 convertible. the rims look terrible. I bought Mothers Alum polish. It works great however due to the condition of the rims it takes forever. I spent over an hour getting 1/2 of 1 rim to look good. Any ideas on some thing that might be a little faster ?

tonyrbp, I had the same issues and sent my wheels out to be reconditioned. Cost me $150 each but they look like new. Wanted them like orginal not chrome plated like I've seen online. I was told once the clear coat is gone and the elements get to the wheel it's a loosing battle. They machined the wheel, recoated and painted the inserts. Purchased a wheel wax as well to keep the brake dust off.
