Depending on the color and availabitlity of that specific color (some colors are much easier to produce or come by than others) i would say, for a nice one with the engine bay and everything, anywhere from $1500-3000. I have a friend that does paint here and without the body work he quoted mine at $1500. He does really great work so thats why im telling you 1.5k

I usually paint my own, so materials usually run around 300 - 700. If it is on the red end of the spectrum it is always more because red is more expensive to produce. So I would say that 94Black's cost assessment is pretty close for a stock paint job. Depends if you want it wet sanded for that mirror finish, which is a lot more labor intensive. [8D]

I got a quote to paint mine this winter. I have a slight crack and a puck that started to star in the right rear quarter after not looking while I was backing up. The quote was $3000 + - a few bucks and that was for a RED paint job. I told him that I was an **** freak and I wanted perfect. Speaking of painting does anyone know where I can get the red with black letter L98/5.7 emblem that goes on the red bumber area. Corvette Central has it as being discontinued. I'm thinking of getting an instock color and having it painted when the car is done this winter.

LOL Raisin. The guy that quoted mine is a friend that owns his own shop, so i might have been getting the "I have known you for a little over 2 years so we are cool" Discount. Or i could find out that he does crappy work. you never know.

my only problem is the clear coat is wearing down, due to years of sun exposure by the previous owner. its a daily driver, so i dont need show quality either. As much as i would love to dive in and throw on all the much needed engine mods, paint is what everyone sees, and i guess thats what will benefit me the most.

speaking of enblems, i saw a c4 that had 383 stroker in a small black strip that went on either side of the bump in the hood. i would love to find something like that.
