RE: power seats dont work
Well, first you need to check the circuit breakers for power seats and windows. Pull them out of the fuse panel and use an ohm meter to check continuity across the breakers, the check for key on voltage at the fuse panel. If they check good, you probably have a bad motor. On the windows, could be the same or the window regulator is bad. It is hard to say without some sort of disassembly.

RE: power seats dont work
Correction, sorry, I said window motors when you said power mirrors. Chances are the mirror actuators or motors are bad, had to replace both in my 86 when I got it.

RE: power seats dont work
thanks mech259 . where did you buy the mirror repair parts? i will deal with that soon. as far as my seat problem i replaced the seat breaker & the entire left side worked. the rt. side however does not. it is down & all the way back. so i think i will just live with an adjustable driver seat only.

RE: power seats dont work
I think I got them from Eckler's. It was about 3 years ago and, sad to say, with age comes forgetfulness. :D

RE: power seats dont work
Power seats and windows are usually circuit breakers instead of a fuse.[8D]
