Radio antenna not working...
My radio antenna has somehow become disconnected to the motor that operates it's position. When I turn the car off, the motor still operates (noise), but the antenna remains up. I noticed during the 3-4 weeks previous to this that sometimes the motor would not retract the antenna all the way down when the car was turned off. It would leave a few inches of antenna sticking up, so I would push it down all the way myself (sheepish look). Can I get to this through the inside of the car to see what's going on? Thanks fellas.

RE: Radio antenna not working...
I believe the best way to access this is from under the vehicle. Should be located behind the driver's side rear wheel well. A buddy of mine had a similiar problem. Except his motor kept trying to retract the antenna. Needless to say his battery was dying on a regular basis. He finally disconnected the hot wire until he had the time to fix it. He found out that his stereo worked just fine without the antenna going up.

RE: Radio antenna not working...
The antenna motor has a plastic cable that wraps up inside the motor on retract and extends on turn on. The plastic has little cogs on one side that the worm gear drives and is attached to the antenna. Long and short of it, the power antenna can be repaired by replacing the mast, requires some partial disassembly. You can gain access to the motor by removing the LR fender well.
