Re: ABS wheel Sensors 1988

Are the wheel sensors on my 88 built into the wheel Hub?? If so, How can I clean them?? My system is down and I would like to clean the wheel sensors as first step to correcting my problem. Is this possiable???

RE: Re: ABS wheel Sensors 1988

The ABS wheel speed sensors are magnets that read magnetic field interruptions by a wheel that looks like a gear on the back side of the wheel bearing hub assembly. Just pull the retaining bolt out of the sensor and gently rotate it back and forth so as to not damage the wiring and pull it out. The you can clean them. [8D]
