Default Starting Problems... again...

Whats up guys... got another starting issue here with my 95. It started happening very rarely, but now almost everytime i get in to start my car. When i turn the key i here nothing but a click, i turn the key a few more times and the same thing happens... occasionally the engine will start to turn over then stop, then after a few more "clicks" the engine will start. My guess is a loose connection somewhere or a bad solenoid. Not sure where all to look for loose connections... i checked the obvious connections at the battery, those are good, anyinputs??

If you have a bad starter solenoid you might as well replace the whole starter. You can get one with a lifetime guarantee. Can't do that with just the solenoid. They're not too expensive either.I do believe the LT-1 cars use a gear reduction starter too.

My car was doing the same thing, turn the key and a click, it ended up being a cracked gear in the reduction set. Getting the starter out is a real pain the ***. I had to drop the front Y pipe on the exhaust of my car, to get it out.
