Default sys on dash

my 90 vette flashes sys on the dash, where it says my gas milage. does anyone have any seggestions what this might mean. thanks for any help.

A majority of "SYS", are battery relatedI would check the battery for full charge & dirty connections, etc.

Hope it's that simple.

Paul, if you pulled the bulb while working on the lights-staying-on problem in your thread, you might be onto the problem there. That is, IF 'sys' can mean things other than low system voltage.

I had the original stereo replaced with a Alpine stereo and my "sys" light has been on every since

Thats because you or the installer didn't add a resistor in the wiring that eliminates that. If you want the instructions I can send them too you. There was a TSB that came out on it a few years ago. I have an Alpine also.

Please post or send directions. I've had the SYS error since I installed an aftermarket stereo! It's not hurting anything it's just annoying.
