Default Tach filter on 1990

My 1990 tachometer reads way too high. From research, it appears that this is because of a bad Tach Filter (condenser) from the distributer to the tachometer. I cannot locate a replacement part. GM discontinued the part, I believe. I see were Mid America Mororworks sells one for a C4, up through 1989. I cannot find someone that sells one for a 1990. I wonder if the 1989 one woudl work for my 1990. Does anyone know where I can purchase one for my car? I would think I could buy a substitute condenser, but do not know the value of the condenser. Has anyone found a suitable substitute? Thx.

If it is just a filter, then a value is not that critical. You could buy several different sizes at Radio Shack or a similar place and try them all while measuring engine speed with a digital tach.

Have you tried any other Corvette suppliers such as Paragon, Zip Products, etc?
