86 mildy modded, 120. How much is left in it after 120? I was scared as hell I was gunna get pulled over by a cop. Just wondering what it can do....

 

114 today(Wednesday)... On the Eisenhower x-way in Suburban Chicago at 10:30 in the morning... I was passing a Mercedes 500 going about 80 and when I looked down, I saw 111, then 114... Damn!!!!

 

When I was 17. My best friend and I stole( I mean borrowed) his brothers 1989 Vette and had it up to 140 MPH. When we pulled over I was inspecting the car befor we return it and noticed that the front rim had a crack in it. I told my friend about it and he said he knew about it already. Boy was I pissed!!!!! We could have been killed!!! Oh, to be young and dumb. But since that moment I have always wanted one and finally got one a couple weeks ago. Only took 20 years.

It's a few months away, BUT, I will be able to do a few laps on the 2.66 mile, 33 degree banked TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY!
It's just been resurfaced and I'm told it's s-m-o-o-o-o-o-th as can be. I'll try to remember to post my mph and just hope I have
the ***s to max it out? I did it a few years ago when the track was rough as a cob, got to +/- 110 and couldn't quite lose the
feeling that I was going to fall off "the wall"!

 

125 on freeway..I was racing two mustangs! Kicked there azz!

 

Me and my buddy were heading up north to his cabin. Normally takes 1hour n 40 min. We made it in 1hour n 3 min. On a straight away we had my 92 vette LT1 doing 148mph. Then the last 27 miles we didnt let it touce under a 100mph.

 

i had mine up to about 110 on freeway i was 19 and did not have the nerve. MY 1984 with 129,00 did not do to bad for a 22 yo car...lol however my friend who owns a 1994 Callaway Supernatural 450 with a 383 CI racing Motor, hit about 150 MPH.. then shortly after he threw a rod... not good on a $10,000 engine, oh well as my friend says "A corvette Requires the Choice, Corvette Or Girlfriend you can't have the two they both have expensive taste"

The fastest I've gotten it up to was 165 according to me pacing my dad in his 01 Cobra. Thats about when he began to walk on me, I think I had a lil more room to run. Mine has well over 200k miles on it, mods wise a few things done, cam, headers, plenum runners opened, few things here and there and it still wanted to float around 140, since I've lowered the rear end an inch havent yet had anything like that happen

 

i hear that, i still have both but only time will tell.
