Default What kind of tires for c4 are good

I have to get at least two tires for the rear and need a set for my original '93 Ruby rims. It seems none of them wear all that long. Original Rims are 8.5" with stock 255 45 17 front and 9.5" rims rear with 285 40 17. I have Z06 rims that were on the car when I bought it. I don't really like them and would like 5 spoke rims that are more conservative looking. All four of those are 9.5" 17 rims with 275 40 17 front tires and 285 40 17 rear tires. My goal is for mileage and something reasonably priced if you can actually say that. Not really interested in tires that can go 160mph. I drive pretty much the speed limit and anything more than that blows my gas mileage.

So what brands/price range/quality/looks do C4 owners reccomend?

Thanks.

Default Tires

Did you ever find the right tires you were looking for? I'm looking for the same thing.

I bought these wheels about a week ago to put on my VW Golf but decided to go with something different... these are the stock "saw blade" wheels off of a C4 chevy corvette, they are in pretty good shape with almost no curbage.. only a very small amount on one or two wheels. not noticable at all. very minor. They do have tires with an mediocer amount of tread, the tires are starting to look a little older but still in decent shape. The wheels are located in the 757 area code, I preffer pickup but will ship if the buyer covers shipping...
