What is the normal operating coolant temp and oil temp for LT1's. The cooling fan on my 95 doesn't come on till say 225 so a what temp should I become concerned? How about the oil temp? I was replacing the air spoiler and didn't see any trash on the front of the A/C coils and it looked like it would be hard for trash to get inbetween the A/C coils and the raditor but does this happen alot? I guess you have to take apart from above as I saw very little access from below to get inbetween the two.

On your 95 the fans will come on "lo" at approx 228*. They will switch to "Hi" at approx 238*. Also when the A/c is turned "on".

The 95 fans operate together. My oil temp runs about 215* after 30 minutes or so.

 

Forgot to mention..on the right side of the shroud, pass/side, there is an opening that you can view the front of the radiator through.

 

What does your water temp normally run at?

 

I HAVE A 92 AND I WAS IN TRAFFIC ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND I NOTICED THAT IT WAS GETTING A LITTLE ON THE HOT SIDE, SO WHEN I GOT HOME I CHECKED IT OVER AND WHEN I LOOKED IN BETWEEN THE RADIATOR AND CONDENSER MY RADIATOR WAS FULL OF DIRT SO I USED COMPRESED AIR AND I MADE AN ATTACHEMENT THAT FITONTO MY VACUME AND I SPRAYED THISA\CC COIL CCLEANER FOAM STUFF ON THE RADIATOR AND CCLEANED IT ALL UP NOWIT STAYS NICCE AND COOL.... CCHECK IT OUTTHAT MIGHT BE YOUR PROBLEM...

I thought mine was running a bit warm too, fan cuts on around 235 at idle, but was told this is pretty much normal

Those are all normal temps.

 

My 95 Also runs about 230 before the fans kick. Now if the air is on they seem to be on all the time, and the car will run about 195.. My buddy is going to loan me his computer, he told me I can change the temperature that the fans come on. He said to drop it under 200... So I may try that.
