what is the stock tire size on an 85 for front and back ???

 

ya just wondering cause the guy i got tires off of said that the fronts were 16 and backs were 17 but neither had rubber on em and every where i call says they only have one listing for the tire size for them and that is 255/50 zr16 but front and back cant be same size since they are roughly and inch thicker in the back

 

i havent checked lately, but i believe that information is on the little sticker on the inside of the driver's door.

Um, for an 85 I am near 100% sure they are 16's front and back.

 

I believe they were 225/50/16's front and back

 

my 85 has stock rims and they r in fact 16 in.

 

ya thought was like a 225 in front but pretty sure its 255 in the back since its a 9.5 wide can anyone please go check there tires and see what size they are

 

wheels going onto some thing that aint a stock 85 vette so cant just look at sticker

 

Mine's an '87 and I'd be happy to check for you, but for some reason I think there's a minor difference in width between the '85 and '87.... would you like me to check anyways for you?

 

84s to 87s came with 255/50/16 front and back the rims were 16x8.5 stock
with Z51 or Z52 they were 9.5 the centers on 84/85 were black 86 were plain and 87 were Grey.
