CAn someone tell me where the fuel pump is in my 87 Vette? I'm told up here that the pump is right inside the fuel tank, and that the tank has to be dropped to remove the fuel pump. I hope I'm wrong about this.

Oh Lord no. Access is gained by removing the filler neck cover and pulling sending unit out the top through the rear filler neck hole. [8D]

Dropping the tank is a nightmare, you have to remove the rear bumper cover. [:-]

 

can u do this to an 84vette also?

 

Replace fuel pump or remove rear cover? Yes on both. C4 the same. [8D]
