Lee's right. My buddy has been trying to sell his stock C5 coupe for a few months (he has an 09 Couple on order). I was fortunate..seems like more are looking for Z06s. More so with an 04 auto blue booking at around 23-24K. Good luck! You'll get a lot of advertising on here though. The guy that bought mine saw my add on autotrader...if you have heard of that.

 

Thanks Lee and Tankerpilot, I saw the blue book value at around $24,000.00. Doesn't hurt to ask more though. With the low demand on C5's I might get as much on a trade in as I would in a private sale. $20,000.00 to $22,000.00. What do you think?

 

Probably depends on the dealer...and what kind of a demand they have for vettes. It's just a matter of finding the buyer...but if someone is in the market, you would still come out ahead of a trade...I would think.

The chevy dealer here originally said 19K for mine...then bumped it up to 20K. I told them they were crazy...as my 02 had 8,100 miles on it...with lots of extras. So I'm glad I held my ground and sold it privately for 25...nice to have that extra 5K... Who knows...maybe someone else would have paid more..but you never know...just nice to get it sold and open up space in the garage for the 08 Z that I should have in the next week.

My buddy may be forced to trade in his C5 coupe...for the same reason...that he hasn't been able to sell it in around 3 months of trying.
