I was actually searching for a 350z and I stumbled upon my vette. 55k miles, 1999 vette, $19,900. Decent deal in my opinion

I was looking for three years for my vette.. i almost bought a yellow one two years ago.. then a black convt. last year and i was tired of searching for the vette i wanted. So i too began looking for a 350Z when i came across my torch red convt. with a black rag top.. this was the color combo i was looking for and in the price and miles range..

so dont give up looking.. it took me three years and it definitly paid off

I wasn't looking for a Corvette at the time but a 97 with 34k miles came up and seller wanted 17k for it. I offered her 15k and she took it. Clean car fax, greatcondition, if I see a great deal I'll jump on it.

74 T-Top
86 Coupe
97 Coupe

I was looking for a 95-98 Toyota Supra TT for about 2 years and happened to see my vette on a local dealers website. Went down, it was loaded including the supercharger for $26k and it only had 28k miles on it. I couldn't pass the deal up, so I guess I was looking for my vette for a few hours.I still want a 95-98 Supra though.

I understand how you feel about looking and looking with no luck. When you find the 'Vette you want, you'll know it, and all the time you spent looking will be so obviously well spent.
Years ago I was building a very special (keeping a LONG story short) engine. I mentioned to the guy who did the machine work for me (an old specialist-best I've ever known) that it was taking me SO darn long to get this engine together ( as I was taking my time so that everything was just perfect and the outcome was exactly what I wanted-like you're doing in your search for the 'Vette you want.) He told me that when I finished that engine, no one will ask how long it took to build and that I'll have exactly what I want to enjoy from that time on. Time very well spent and in the end, every second totally worth it. If you keep a positive and active search, the one you want will come to you. So enjoy the search and keep a positive frame of mind. Keep us posted and let us know all about your search, as, I for one, am interested in keeping up with what you encounter. Thanks.

( I stumbled upon my 'Vette one afternoon and after talking for maybe a minute, wrote acheck for it. My wife drove it home and I followed her. I had been on an active / inactive search for just at 21 years.)

I was out one sunny afternoon looking at Corvettes at a dealership down here in South Florida. I was looking for a light colored one because the sun down here is so hot. I found a 2001 Navy Blue Meltalic roadster with a white top & auto. That color in the sun was magnicficent. Turns out it had Z51 with 3:15 performance axle ratio and the white top combination is rare. The car had 11,000 miles on it. Bought it 3 years ago. I'll never give it up.
