Baby Car Seats
i sometimes take our 2 year old son for a ride. i believe his carseat is a COSCO, blue and grey in color....doesnt match the car, but with the cupholder removed it fits just fine. it's got some little slots near the top that allow the belts to secure the child seat to the vette's seat. We were inbetween vettes during the time that my son had to ride in a rear facing seat, so i'm not sure if the one we had would have worked. whichever kind of seat you need to use for the child, be sure to throw a towel or something in the seat first, to avoid dimples and scratches on the leather....i keep a black towel in the trunk just in case my kid gets to ride in his sexy car!!!
and just a hint, when the kid gets old enough that he (or she) starts telling you to "GO FASTER!", then its time to hide the keys!!!!

BTW, if you have a C5 that does NOT have a way to turn off the passenger side air bag, do NOT take an infant or very light kid for a ride! That airbagmay cause serious injury or death! My 01 has a switch in the glovebox that turns off the airbag. I'm not sure in which year this switch was introduced, but check yours out if your car is older than mine.

MOST DEFINITELY!!!As Dave said, this is an obvious no no... my current '01too has the switch to turn off the airbag, althought my previous '99 did not have this option....i've also heard alot of different things about states' laws regarding infant seats in the front seat of a vehicle, although i'm not sure if its all hype or what.....you might check on this before using the vette to transport a little one. i havefriends who are cops and highway patrol, so i know its not a legal issuewhere i am,just a safety issue.
