Default C5 (2001) corvette question on how to narrow the rear?

I'm a hot rod builder, I'm going to take the complete rear suspension and narrow it down to fit under a custom 55 t-bird. So I need some help, have you Sean this done?

This is the only mention of this type of mod that I could find:

You can get 345's in there with a minitub without cutting the suspension. If you want bigger tires than that I assume you want to go way big for racing or something. In that case it would probably be easier and cheaper to throw in a narrowed solid real axle jmo.
