Question Ecm remapping C5

I am new to the Vett, picked up my first a cherry C5 , stock expect for the Corsa exhaust, been fun fixing a few minor interior things, and a clear bra is next, but am thinking a head to a remapping, turn up the hp , so question are two fold, I would like to increase from 345 to 385, but what are the best way to go, take it to a dealer, or dyno guy ? Do it yourself been, looking at the chip kits, look petty easy. Next question is by turning the hp up more wear on the engine shorter life, wants your take and how far do you go.

From what I've read here, you will not see 385 HP from a remap. The car is already in a high state of tune from the factory. You can't squeeze blood from an already high performing stone.

Save your money and forget the chips. Check with black bear performance.
