Hope no limit on posts. Anyway gave my Vette a bath after last posts. Took it out for an afterbath ride. When I turned off the headlights theybothdropped Ok, but the right one made a noise from hell - sounded like a hammer drill. Of course I had to turn them off and on again - same demon noise.
Anyone had similiar problem? Any ideas of a remedy?

 

Might be that your headlight gear is worn and needs to be replaced with a metal one.

 

Yeah, probably the headlight gear - Which is ok - because when I first the noise I thought the clutch had blew out.

 

Also the gear is not to hard to change, It took me about 45 mins not counting drying time to change both of mine.

 

Mine is doing the same thing.....there was a previous post on here that someone recommended a kit from (www.rodneydickman.com). Go to electrical then other cars under headlight...and you can click on C5 for their kit. Includes everything you need...my kit is on my coffee table as we speak....just need to install it. Probably won't be until next week...going to be on the track Friday - Sunday this week and I have other projects I need to do before then!
