Hey Guys....I'm Back!!!
Peace,
Have you considered a short-throw shifter? The reason I ask is that I always felt the stock shifter was too tall. Short-throws take care of that issue, although additional effort is required to shift.

Well. that depends upon the shifter....from hardest/shortest throw to softest/longest throw...
1) BP, Hurst. or B&M Ripper
2) MTI Racing six shooter shifter
3) B&M Precision
4) C6 OEM Z06 shifter (unthreaded shaft)
5) C6 OEM shifter (unthreaded shaft)
6) C5 OEM shifter
The shifters on #1 are fairly stiff, but very short-throw. The #2 may be a good compromise for those who feel #1s are too stiff. #s 4 and 5 cannot accept a threaded shift **** unless their shafts are threaded.
Regarding the shifter **** shape. If you prefer the pistol-grip method of shifting, the type in my avatar is ideal for those with small or medium builds. If you are 6'4" or taller, the spherical shape is probably a better choice, IMO.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks Bluwolf....thanks Starship!
I don't think I would get away with that US Marshall star on the side of the car....I may get stopped for trying to impersonate an officer
....but all kidding aside, I'm a non-sworn municipal government employee in charge of the local Police Review Commission....since I am not a cop.....some people may have a problem with any hint of misrepresentation.....so I'll just do without the "star" for now
