haha, sorry pecemkr, but you better COMPLETELY gut your car and have nothing but a drivers seat and a roll cage(just incase) and put a much larger engine in your car and then supercharge it. after all that, have your car lowered onto the road right next to one of those by an airplane already going 200+ mph. and then hope the other guy wrecks the car...
Haha, ok, so seriously, it wouldnt take anywhere near that much. But, the new S7's are twin turbo and rated at, I BELIEVE, 750 hp. The are beautifully built and well designed. And they should be for the pricetag. Anyway, nice find on the pic. I always love seeing cars like that.!!

If you go to Lingenfelter with about $125 large, yeah, your car could. On other hand, I think I might spend that on the Saleen instead . . .
It is worth thinking about this. Enzo Ferrari got his start as a "tuner" just like Saleen is doing it now -- he started upgrading and doing mods to Alfas and then went on to some new components like making new heads for them and then one day started turning out a few really extreme models of an exciting new car under his own name (the 166 Berlinette and Barchatta, in, I think, the '49-51 time frame). This rest is history. I think Sallen might make it - hope so.
