I have been looking for a newer Corvette as I have been a fan since Dinah Shore sang "See the U S A in your Chevrolet" but was looking for something I don't have to work on. At 80, my mind is able to do the work but the body is starting to refuse. Anyway, I found a pristine 2004 Convertible 6 speed in Magnetic Red. The car has just over 5,000 miles. Car is like new and runs and drives like a new 2004 Corvette but I am not sure what maintenance has been done. Oil life says 67% left but it is going in for new Mobil 1 tomorrow. New Michlin tires later in the week. What else should I be looking at to preserve/maintain this car so it will be reliable and trouble free in the future?

Welcome to the forum. Would probably be a good idea to have the brake fluid completely flushed. Looks like you found a good deal on a car that old with only 5,000 miles. Have fun and get out and drive it.
Thanks guys, Oil changed today, not sure it needed it but I feel better. Tires as soon as my new tire pressure sensors arrive. I will put a brake fluid flush on my list of things to do soon. I just want it in the condition that if I wanted to go 500 miles I can just put gas in it and go. Probably won't but it will be satisfying just to know I could. The car just makes me smile.
I don't know if this is true for a C5 but on a C8, when doing anything related to the brakes, the battery needs to be disconnected. Apparently the computer randomly does ABS brake checks and if you have the system open or a caliper off, it can mess things up if it does the check during that time.
