Default Power Window

Have an 01 Coupe and got in it last night and passenger window would not go down, worked ok a few days ago. I can hear contactor when I hit the switch but no motor. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

The best place to start is the fuse block.

Thanks for the response, assume it's the fuse block on passenger side under carpet, or is it the one in engine compartment?

I am not 100% sure on that. The fuse block should be labeled. I would guess the interior fuse block would be the one holding the window fuses but I could be wrong.

yes it is under the passenger side kick panel. if the fuses are good there is not much more to the system just the door switches, r and l door control modules and the window motor.does it make the same contact sound on both driver and passenger sides if so that eliminates the switches. if the fuses turn out to be good you will need to remove the door panel remove the wires going to the motor and place a mete on them ( bkblue and brown) with the meter hooked up when you push the button it should read around 12volts anything considerably less that that its probably the control module but to make sure hook up a 12volt source directly to the motor wires. the polarity is alternating + and - depending on which direction the window goes. if the motor works with direct power get the window up and see if the switch will roll it down if that works i would say the its probable the door control module assuming the both switches are good. let me know if you need clarification. as soon as i get home i'll pose the schematics so you'll have a refrence point.

Well, checked the fuses and they are ok. What's the secret to getting the Door panel off? It must be the module or motor.

I'm attaching the instruction on how to remove the door trim panels as well as the schematic for the switch and motors. Good Luck
