Quick question on the Honker
I'm going to be installing the Honker this weekend, and have been going over the instructions. My question is this:
Right now I have this small diameter air inlet tube going to the Fuel pressure regulator, and the end of this tube has been inserted into an after market throttle body air duct that I did not install. Where does this air inlet tube normally go on the stock air duct? And I see no reference to this in the instructions from Callaway. Does anyone know where this air inlet tube would go on the Callaway?
Thanks in advance
Richard

Hey, Rich -
So you got your Honker! How cool is that!!!
I just bought mine yesterday and after I sent the payment the seller told me they were out of stock and it would be 1 -2 weeks. I am bummed.
I have the install scheduled for 10/14, so I hope it is here in time. Hope someone answers your question and all goes well for you with the install.
Take care, stay safe.

Yea Rita
I got it yesterday, and my first thought was, Man 5 bills for this,
Hahahah
Actually you can tell Callaway put quite a bit of time in the design of this intake, and with the added cost of making it C.A.R.B. compliant it's actually a pretty good deal
I can't wait to install it, and will tackle that Saturday Morning.
Man sorry to hear you have to wait for yours. I called around and like you said everyone said atleast a couple weeks out, Callaway was waiting on the filter element from France or something like that. I got lucky and Corvette Garage had 1 left.
The Ebay site you sent me.....I tried contacting the guy but he would never really answer my questions, and I didn't feel comfortable with him.
I'll let you know how the install goes, and how the extra horse's feel.
stay safe

But I still can't really tell where that air tube is located on yours. It's coming off the left side of my engine. Right off the fuel pressure regulator valve....the air tube is probably no more than 1/8" tube.
Where is this going into on your Honker?
Thanks Man
It looks good!

Hi Rich,
You know, I read his feedback and thought he looked okay. The only bad feedback he had was from people doing business with him right when his Paypal account got hacked. Everone else was extremely pleased. When I asked him a question regarding his billing preference, he got right back to me. Unfortunately, he didn't mention they were out of stock. Well, maybe they weren't at that time - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Oh, well, it is a moot point now. Good luck with your install and be sure and get back to all of us with some well earned bragging.
Take care, stay safe.

I ended up calling Callaway yesterday, and actually the fuel pressure regulator I have is one of the early ones, so it has the air vent tube connected to it. He told me to just leave the vent tube out to atmosphere, and I'll be fine. They changed this design the next year I believe.
BTW, the guy I talked to was very helpful, and new what he was talking about.
So HURRY up weekend, installing it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!
