does anybody here know if the 1998 corvette motor is the same ls1 as in the camaro z28? i gotta z28 and was wonderin if my motor was in a corvette. thanks for any info.

Its basically the same but puts out less power mostly because of the exhaust systems. In spite of 40 Hp difference in rating, they would dyno only about 20 RWHP less. I've heard some Camaros had a different cam and tuning than the vettes, but my '98 had the same stock cam as a vette for that year.
