Is the hub on a Z06 the same as on the regular C5 Corvette?

So then this means the rotors are interchangeable? There is no special rotor proprietary to the Z06?

As far as I know any stock or aftermarket rotor will fit any C5 vette. I have seen rotors taken off a ZO6 and put on a standard C5 (that is where mine ended up when I upgraded) and the GMPP upgrade drilled rotors I order for my car (from Ecklers) were one model that would fit on all C5s.

Is there any performance gain in using the Z06 calipers? I read on another site that they are superior to the standard issue C5 brake system.

Yes, they are superior. But unless you can get the parts cheap, I would go ahead and upgrade to an even larger aftermarket brake set. The C5 ZO6, and even the C6 ZO6, do not have the best possible brakes (note that the Viper always beats the ZO6 in lap times in all the car mag comparison tests, and its is always on braking that it has the greatest margin of superiority).

There are various upgrades from mild to wild (and expensive).

OK....any suggestions other than Wilwood and Baer. Brembo is a little out of my league. I found this site. What do you think of their rotors?

I was thinking of their SP cross drilled, slotted, and zinc washed. I'm a little skeptical on the whole theory the seem to preach as far as the cross drilling and why their method is better.

I know a lot of guys here in my town have STOP TECH's on their cars.......I've known people that swear by them.....any thoughts?

I also like the fact that they give military a 25% discount...which is why I'm leaning toward them for an upgrade for my car.....eventually. I'm just a little worried about clearance....don't want to have to get 2 new sets of wheels....to replace stock and my track set of wheels/tires.
