about to buy a c6 any suggestions
i just sold my 2002 mustang
im about to buy a new black c6 this weekend.
im a newb with vettes any suggestions on what i should get in the package.
the one im looking at is a hatch with z51 package with navi
i heard the 2008 vettes are going to be better but more expensive. whats going to be the difference in performance/apperance?

Better is subjective. You should consider the LT3 package with Z51. Color and rims are your choice of course. The engine is still TBD from what I have followed. Most 05/06/07 owners love theirs.

I have a triple black 2007 Z-51 convertible withLt3 pkgwhich includesheads up display, pwr. telescoping steering wheel, heated seats, auto dimming driver side &rearview mirror, memory package, universal remote, steering wheel radio controls and in convertibles a pwr. top. Alot of which may seem unnessary, but from experience I like the HUDand radio controls on the steering wheelso you can control XM, CD and radio vol/presets without ever taking your eyes off the road/hands off the steering wheel.(imp. when a car is capable of this much power) Also I think the auto dimming mirror should be standard on all vehicles I absolutely love this feature ( esp. with how low you sit in a vette when a truck/suv comes up from behind in stop and go traffic at night, it works so well you can't believe it.)Otherwise the Z-51 package is great if you don't want to do your own mods. it has largercross-drilled breaks (they look and work great! ), quicker gear ratios and preformance-tuned tires, springs and shocks. Mine has chrome wheels which I prefer. I would be happy to answer any and all questions you may have. Good luck and enjoy.

So i made my decision, im going with the triple black 07 z-51 coupe with lt3 package.
I will post pics as soon as i buy it.

I'm in the market as well! I just have a few things I am pondering.....what do you guys think?
After I get and LT3 with the Z51, put exhaust, headers, wheels, and tune....I'll be around 60k or so.
Why not spend and extra 12 and get a Z06? I know it's a lot more, but that could be justified a little better with
my wife I think.
What are your thoughts?

get the z with 2lz and base rims. ya dont need nav .its the best car to get lost in.base rims cuz ya gotta get bigger tires. down side ,ya gotta wash it,radio sucks,mileage on par with an MIAI tank and ya gotta shift it.plus side ya got a car whose,s motor was made by NASA and there aint much out there to beat ya
