Bras
Could use some help/guidance on clear Bras.
I am having a complete clear bra kit put on my Vette next week and was told by someone in the local Corvette club to ask around about experiences since it might not be as great as I thought it was going to be.
The goal is to protect the car from road rash. I also plan on putting wider tires on in the back.
Can anyone relate some good/bad experiences with Clear Bras by 3M or tell me what you do to protect from road rash?
Regards,
FNG

I started to inquire about this as well as I just picked up my new 08 convertible in crystal red. I have seen these on other cars and thought is was nice however the cost is about $1k to have it installed. I am thinking about a color matched bra from speed lingerie. This is about $500 and can be easily removed or put back on. The color match is suppose to be excellent. Would like to hear from anyone who has purchased from them and how it is.
There are pro's and con's to both really. The 3-M system is awesome but over time the rest of the paint will wear a little more than what's under the tape, but this stuff will no doubt protect the paint. The other bra's will protect you from road rash, but will also hold dirt underneath, rubbing into the paint and causing more damage. I know many people that will only use the bra's for road trips, and off the rest of the time to help out a little.
Abra comes off the 3m does not After some time the paint has hue to it under the bra. I have the vinyl bra from GM it goes on in about 5 min. easy to clean.I met who had the 3m and a stone must of hit the film and it caused a visable imperfection and that changed my mind.I have an 07 c6 lemans blue
