Hey guys,

I hope y誕ll are doing good, I knew to the forum. I知 looking for some help. I just got a 2005 c6 base model manual transmission. It will be my daily driver and I知 looking to do some mods to it. I知 looking to do full bolt ons, I want a reliable brand that I won稚 break the bank either. I just want the chop chop chop sound. I知 not looking for too much hop increase I just want the chop. If any of you guys could guid me on what brand and what mods I can do that I won稚 break that bank. I just want the car to sound good and choppy and that it can drive daily. Hope to hear from you guys soon! Thanks!

Welcome to the forums. Summit racing has a good selection of Camshafts to look at. Read the comments on the product and see if that's what you are looking for. Most people give a good honest opinion, amazon has a few also.

Hey Thomas thanks for the help I appreciate it brother! I will look into it. Can I do the cams and exhaust only or do I have to do the headers as well . Also I have to get a tune after I install everything right?

Unfortunately bolt ons alone won't make it sound choppy, that sound comes from a cam swap.

In order to be able to run a choppy/hot rod sounding cam it needs to have the proper bolt ons to be able to breathe correctly. At minimum you'd be looking at a cold air intake and then long tube headers. When doing the cam install, you'd also want to do the ancillary items like valvesprings, pushrods, oil pump, gaskets, timing chain, etc. Then all of these mods will require tuning as well to run properly.

If I were you I think I would reach out to Summit and maybe Comp cams, explain what you are trying to do and get their feedback.
