I put a quarter down on top of the cup holder cover (the cover closed).. the quarter fell down into the side of the cup holder door and now it won't open all the way!!!

Any ideas of how to fix it? Im not sure how to remove the cover without damaging anything.

Ok.. am I the only one stupid enough on this forum to drop quarters in the side of the cup holder???

 

I was looking at mine the other day & thinking of what you did, I'm no help at all...but I did want ya to know I was thinking bout you at that time hehe!

 

Any chance of using a magnetic bolt / screw picker upper to pull the quarter out?

 

I did that exact thing once... now I'm trying to remember what I did to get it out. I think I used a couple keys or something, to create a pincher type thing, and pulled it out that way. The magnet idea might work too.

 

Drop another quarter down there to see if it hits the first one, than you know were both of them are. Sorry I am a S.A. I used to own a Nissan 350Z than I grew up! I would say a light and a small set of tweezers maybe?

 

well in the spirit of redhotvet, you could flip.........no nevermind. nobody likes a smart *** let alone two of them. but serriously try a strong shop-vac with the little crack cleaning thingy. or a nialfile or butter knife with some two sided tape.
