I currently own an 05 Caddy CTS-V and have begun the shopping for an 05/06 Corvette Coupe/Targa. Sorry if they are one in the sameI plan on doing tons of reading nextfew days and getting up to speed on the Vette!

I just havea questions...

1. How do I decode a VIN to know if it has the Z51 ( I think thats right) package?

2. Any suggestions as to which way to go, I would love a coupe with black interior and Nav with manual transmission.

Welcome [sm=groupwave.gif], I am new to forum also 7-4-08. I own a 2006 CoupeZ51 with nav / loadedauto trans not manual...... Drove tractor trailers for many years do not want to look at shifter [sm=shades.gif]..... when I purchased mine ( used one owner ) he had original window sticker so I can't tell you how to decode vin. but I can tell you I drove one ( Not Z51 package )before I purchased mine& in my opinion there was a big difference in handling. Good luck....

 

I just went and took a look @ my VIN on my Z51. It doesn't have Z51 in the #. Someone here will probably know.
