Leftover '05 Coupes?
Anyone know of any dealers with leftover '05 coupes in stock? Prefer Victory Red or LeMans Blue, must be automatic. Thanks for the feedback. Already checked Kerbeck, they sold out of their 05's many months ago. Also, curious if anyone knows what types of discounts are available on these.

RE: Leftover '05 Coupes?
Last time I drove by, Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary, NC had about six to ten 05s on their lot. I don't know options or prices, but they had a bunch parked back behind the newer C6s that were all lined up in front of the showroom.
Sometimes it makes sense to buy an older model, mostly because you get a tremendous discount and you do get a new car with full warranty, etc. I bought my 04 Porsche (what the factory calls the 996) new in late '05, when the 06s (the 997s) were already out. Part of the reason I picked the older model was that with only 5 more HP but 156 more lbs weight the newer one felt heavier, but a $10,000 discount in the asking price (even before we haggled) also helped. A Lot.

Lee is right. I don't see much of a difference between the 05s and 06s (mostly the steering wheel, paddle-shift automatic, and small GM badging), and I'm not really actively in the market for a new Vette, but if I could get a steal on an '05 that would probably motivate me. The reviews on the C6's have been so positive that I'd like to get one, but at a really good price. I have a budget in mind and I'd like to get the biggest bang for the buck. What started this all is a friend who bought an '05 350Z on New Year's Eve and after some negotiating got $14,000 off sticker. Just curious as to what I can do on an '05 Vette. Thanks for the feedback, and I'll check the dealership in NC.

I forgot to say what my reason for asking that question in my first post was. From what I understood the C6 were still a supply and demand vehicle and I know what most supply and demand cars you are not getting a discount no matter what model year it is. But if you can get a good deal on an '05 I'm all for it and would do the samething. Goodluck with your search.

No offense taken P2P...just thought I'd give it a shot...I've actually found a dealer in NJ (Paramus Chevrolet...formerly Malcom Konner)...that has 3 silver 05's ranging from 7K to 9K off sticker. I'm not crazy about the silver personally, but then again, I can't be too picky at that price.

Hey, Silver is a nice classy color that hides dirt pretty well....oh who am I kidding, it wasn't my first color choice either. I wanted to get either Blue or Red but the silver was a good deal. Moral of the, story just buy the silver.

P2P - Only reason I'm not going with the silver is that I already had a silver car (my first, actually) and I like to mix it up. Staying away from black also (too hard to keep clean), and my current '82 C3 is white/gray 2-tone, so looking for a little color this time around. Again, no offense, silver is tres cool, just not my first choice.
