Default QG7 vs. Qx3

I am about to order an 08 Corvette convertable with 3lt, z51, npp, and either the qx3 chrome aluminum wheels or the new qg7 polished aluminum wheels. Does anybody know the weight of either wheel? are there any advantages or disadvantages of either wheel. Thanks in advance.

I believe factory chromed wheels ought to be okay. The incremental weight difference is too minor to care about. or perhaps even measure. Factory wheels are pretty good on the weight front, too-- you have to pay something on the order of $1000 a wheel (Fikse's etc.) to get substantially stronger/lighter wheels.

The problems with chromed wheels, beyond that fact that they tend to be a bit too bling for some tastes particularly if installed on cars with lighter colors, is that the chrome sometimes peels or flakes off after sustained exposure to salt. Non-factory chromed wheels are to be avoided (many are heat-chromed haphazardly and weaknened as a result).
