Default Really Sick!

My wife and I were out the other night about dusk. We pulled into a parking lot to get back on to the street go the other direction. It looked like the entire was level with the street. When I pulled back to the street I bottomed out ona curb. It hit with a thump. I have noticed that my hood doesn't look like it is in perfect alightment now. Maybe it was like this before and I just didn't notice it, but it looks like the right side of the hood is about an eighth of an inch lower than the right fender about half way back from the front. Possible severe damage or am I just imagining it? I plan on taking it somewhere to see if the hood can be better aligned. Thanks in advance for any replies, ideas, or suggestions. I really enjoy this forum!

if its the part of hood close to windshield there are small bumpers [stops] that can be adjusted up or down,or the latchs can be adjusted. ive hit bone jarring holes with no issues

Thanks for your reply....it is encouraging. This car is my baby and I was really sick to think that I may have done something to it. I am so very careful with it. Thanks again!
