What is the best tire for a C6 ?
What is the best tire for a C6 ?
I had Bridgestone Potenza S03's on my C5 and they were most excellent.
I can't seem to find them in the 285 35-19 and 245 40-18 sizes... do they even make them anymore?
Im considering the Eagle F1 (I HATE runflats).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Update:
Got my new rubberbands this weekend... BF Goodrich KDWs. I put 255s on the front and 295s on the back (stock rims)...
The difference is AMAZING... I will NEVER run with runflats again...
It's like a magic carpet ride... [sm=gears.gif]

I have always had great luck with BFGs, both the KDWs and their drag radials.
You can buy a flat tire inflator kit (some goo and a tiny pump) like came on the C5 Z06 and I assume the C6 ZO6 (they don't use run flats and don't carry a spare): the factory one is expensive but aftermarket kits aren't as pricey.

I had a set of 18" Pirellis on my Camaro when it was sort of stock (slightly modded engine, about 390-410 RWHP). They were the top performance tire Pirellimade back in '99, whatever that was, and they were fairly good for dry traction and cornering alkthough not, I thought, quite equal to BFG's best (but I got them cheap). But right around 20,000 miles within 1000 miles of driving all four developed splits between the radial belt and the tire sidewall: they are all four on their way to throwing the tread rather badly. Luckily I caught it during a walk around inspection of the car at the track one afternoon.
I'd never own a set of Pirelli's again.
