Wierd ignition switch-related sound
Hello everyone. New to the world of Corvette ownership. Just got my 2010 GS Convertible and love it so far.
My question has to do with the ignition switch. When I depress the switch to start it, it sounds like half a dozen relays are switching behind the dash in the radio area. Almost an arcing/cracking type sound although there is no hint of burning smell or it acting up. The car starts right up with no problems. Is this normal? This is my first car with this type of start switch so I don't know if I'm just paranoid.
I'm not new to the car world or how things work as I've had a variety of muscle cars over the years. I have zero experience with these and couldn't find anywhere where anyone has commented on it.
Thanks for any info.
